A chest of nails contains hand-forged iron pieces with slightly irregular shanks and heads. An unremarkable cargo to some buyers, it can be exactly what a carpenter needs.

Nails are used for construction, fastening and repairs. In a settlement far from a forge, a ready supply saves waiting for a smith to make each piece. Every nail has already been heated, drawn out and given a head under the hammer. Packed together, they bring finished ironwork straight to the building site.
